Aviform is a quality supplement brand made from high quality ingredients to offer your horse the very best. But how much do we know about the brand and why it was created? We spoke to Aviform to find out more about them. 

Tell us a bit about you and why you set up Aviform

I set up the company in 1977 manufacturing and selling avian supplements and then by 1990 we had added horse and dog supplements into the range. I was, and still am, very much driven by the desire to ensure that all our supplements were formulated without compromise but keeping our prices competitive enough so that customers could afford to give their animals the best.

What customers are you aiming at and why should they choose Aviform products over others?

Our ethos is Quality, Transparency and Integrity. This is because we ensure that every product is formulated to give the horse the best formulation, containing the highest quality ingredient with no hidden nasties. We want to be as transparent as possible on our labels so that our customers can make an informed choice and know exactly what they are giving their horse. How do you decide what new products to add to the range?

Good Question! There are a few reasons: customer demand, market demand and, most importantly staff demands stemming from their own horse needs!

What’s your favourite Aviform product and why?

All our joint supplements are my top favourites! However, if I had to pick one I would choose the Suppleaze VS as it offers the highest ratio of all the best joint ingredients you can give to a horse. Contains high ratios of Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, HA, Hydrolysed Collagen, Curcumin, Boswellia, Vitamin C and Postbiotics

What’s Aviform ‘s hidden gem of a product that you feel customers overlook?

We know that joint supplements are always the go-to for customers but the horse's digestions play a big part in their behaviour, stress and overall health. Our Pro-choice Gold is a great product that contains pre, pro and post-biotics to aid digestion, loose motions and immunity.

What ‘claims to fame’ does Aviform have and for what products?

Sharon Hunt’s Tankers Town was being fed our supplements when he won a team bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

What well known riders use Aviform products?

We have generally stepped away from using sponsored riders as we wanted real reviews from real customers.

However, we are very proud to support Sam Turner, who famously rode her cob ‘Billy Whiz’ up to Grand Prix. Sam continues to inspire riders across the globe who thought that having a cob meant dressage was not an option.

What’s the story behind UK production?

In 2015 we moved to our current 9,000 sq ft production facility, warehouse and offices in Wymondham, Norfolk which offered us a great working environment and good distribution links. We are a team of 16 employees across production and admin who all live in Norfolk and are passionate about formulating and manufacturing the best products and delivering great service to our customers. We are very proud to hold ISO 9001, UFAS and BETAS accreditations as it takes a lot of dedication and hard work to ensure we keep our facility up to code.
