Our story begins in January 2013.
As equestrians, we all want to spend as much quality time as possible with our horses. What we don’t want is to waste time chasing around the country for specific equine products, running from tack shop to country store, or searching online for hours only to wait a week or more for delivery.
Frustrated by the lack of convenient options for quality equestrian clothing and tack, the idea was born to bring customer-focused shopping to the forefront of the online equine retail sector.
“Equus really grew from frustration with a particularly disastrous trip to the tack shop,” says one of the founders. “As a full-time professional and keen horse rider, I struggled to find a store that sold the quality equine clothing and equipment I wanted and could deliver it quickly and reliably.”
With that, the team set out to build a one-stop online shop, providing riders with the best products carefully curated by a passionate, horse-loving team, based on three core principles:

- Provide excellent customer service – Prioritize the customer journey and experience as a core business value.
- Add value to the community – Share information and advice to help riders and their horses lead better equine lives.
