The Sprenger Double Jointed Loose Ring Snaffle features the novocontact mouth piece that is designed to create a unique oval shape which widens the contact surface on the tongue. This helps horses that are sensitive in the mouth or do not hold a consistent contact. As the rider gives a rein aid the mouthpiece turns forward and the contact surface gets narrower, ensuring more precise and effective communication. Novocontact bits help to improve the interaction between horse and rider for a better contact and acceptance of the bit. Double jointed novocontact bits are also ideal to use on horses that tend to pull against the hand, but are too sensitive to be ridden with stronger bits. Made from Sprenger's new Sensogan material, an improvement to the already successful golden coloured Aurigan material that they are known for. The reduced copper content combined with the manganese results in a more regulated process of oxidation, encouraging softening and acceptance of the bit.
